He was predeceased by: his parents, Opal Sawyer Giddens and Gus A. Giddens, Sr.. He is survived by: his siblings, Connie Giddens (Sonny) of Hot Springs, AR, Morris Robertson of Dublin and Ted Robertson (Jane) of Lawrenceville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
