He is survived by: his wife Betty Jo McCarthy of Cochran; his son John Paul McCarthy (Gisele) of Hawkinsville; his grandson Zach McCarthy (Marsha) of Statesboro; his great grandchild Beau McCarthy of Statesboro; his stepgrandsons, Billy Melton (Andrea) of Marshallville, Andy Alexander (Sheri) of Oklahoma City, OK and Cory Alexander (Brittany) of Cumming; his stepgreat-granddaughter Leila Alexander of Oklahoma City, OK; and his sister Mildred Smith of Cochran. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
