He was predeceased by: his parents, George Bowman and Gladys Mercer Bowman; his wife Celestine Dixon Bowman; his daughter Debbie Bowman Pruett; his grandson Dustin Heath Pruett; his great grandchild Dustin Heath Pruett, Jr.; and his siblings, Mary Berryhill, Doc Bowman, Louise Helm Hill and Ruby Nell Bowman.
He is survived by: his son Steve Bowman of Kathleen; his grandson Ryan Bowman of McDonough; his parents-in-law, Jimmy and Casey Pruett; his granddaughter Jayci Pruett Cox; his grandchildren-in-law, Misty Pruett of Eastman and David Cox (Lisa) of Port Orange, FL; his great grandchildren, Trinity, Kennedy, Seth, Jaden, Gracie, Brycen, Addison, Nicole and KJ; his siblings, Janice Harrison of Bonaire, Carl Bowman (Gail) of Danville and Terry Bowman of Cochran; his daughter Marcia Dugger (Jim) of Forsyth; his in-laws, Weldon of Cochran, Janice Dixon of Cochran and Bonnie Bowman of Cochran; his friends, Garry and Elaine Belflower of Dexter; his close friend Gloria Williams; and also Carolyn Bowman of Kathleen. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:45 PM at the Roddy Baptist Church (1550 Empire-Chester Hwy, Cochran, GA 31014). A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Bowers Cemetery (870 Bowers Cemetery Rd, Cochran, GA 31014).
