He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mothers, Mary Long Thompson and Kitty Thompson; his children, Sam Thompson, Keith Thompson (Joulia) of Lizella, Carl Thompson of Cochran, Jeannie Allen (Jason) of Cochran and Shannon Lawson (Matt) of Marietta; his sisters, Faye Barlow (Billy) of Cochran and Shirley T. Sapp of Seneca, S. C.; and his daughter-in-law Sherry Thompson of Cochran. He was also cherished by ten grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
