She was predeceased by: her parents, Nelson Avery Chastain, Sr. and Sara Vivian Light Chastain; and her sister Melanie C. Truluck of Cordele, GA.. She is survived by: her daughter Avery Lee; her son-in-law Scott; her grandson Parker Henson of Forsyth, GA.; and her brother Nelson Avery Chastain, Jr. (Cathy) of Opelika, AL. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, great nephews and one great-great nephew.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzhiemer's Association.
