He was predeceased by: his parents, C. B. Sr. Churchwell and Lillie Jewell Hill Churchwell; and his brother C. B. "Junior" Churchwell, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Doris Davis Churchwell of Cochran; his children, Karen Carter (Waylen) of Cochran, Dennis Churchwell (Teresa) of Cochran and Tammy Johnson (Bob) of Cochran; his grandchildren, Brooke Jarrell (Rick) of Ackworth, Raynor Churchwell (Katie) of Cochran, Taylor Johnson (Kristin) of Cochran and Tanner Johnson of Atlanta; his great grandchildren, Addison Barnes of Ackworth, Jacob Broughman of Ackworth and Tate Johnson of Cochran; and his siblings, Christine Tucker (Dennard Day) of Cochran, Betty Arnold (Lee) of Cochran, Peggy Parten of Cochran, Patricia Phillips (Charlie) of Cochran, James R. "Doc" Churchwell of Cochran and Donnie Churchwell (Delores) of Cochran. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
