He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry "Crack" and Eva Bass Mullis; his siblings, Wyndell H. Mullis and Venoree Mullis; and his granddaughter Lauren Clardy.
He is survived by: his wife Imogene Hosford Mullis of Cochran; his children, Dr. Lynn Mullis (Becky) of Cochran and Wendy Mullis Clardy (Rick) of Dublin; his grandchildren, Whitney Hall (Jacob), Linsey Barber (Aaron), Rachel Clardy, Will Clardy, Sara Beth Martin and Michael Martin; and his siblings, James "Bubba" Mullis and Marie M. Davis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending are asked to maintain the recommended safe social distancing of six feet and wear protective masks.
