She was predeceased by: her parents, Chapman Hinson and Madie Powell Hinson; her husband Jacob C. Allen; her daughter Helen Allen Churchwell; and her sister Geraldine Hinson Griffin.

She is survived by: her children, Roger Allen (Kay), Joe Allen (Jean) and Bonnie Horne (Wayne) of Cochran; and her sister Annie Walker of Forsyth. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
