He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Bass and Pearl Stovall Bass; his wife Jean Curtis Bass; his sister Ruby Henry; his daughter Sheryl Grimes; his son-in-law Glen Chance; and his grandchildren, Kevin Grimes and Trinia Anderson Fountain.
He is survived by: his daughters, Barbara Chance, Teresa Anderson (Jerry) of Cochran and Diann Harrison (Robert) of Dudley; and his son-in-law Wendell Grimes of McRae. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, and many great and great-great grandchildren.
