It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Beaufort Bryant Sawyer of Cochran, Georgia, who passed away on June 10, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Beaufort Sawyer and Lila Belflower Sawyer; and his siblings, Jim H. Sawyer, Tom Sawyer, W. L. "Strib" Sawyer, Opal Giddens, Zell Swan and Estelle Yearty.
He is survived by: his wife Latha Chance Sawyer; his children, Richard, Deborah Mullis, David Sawyer (Debbi), Donna Miller and Jeanne White (Stephen); his grandchildren, Ritchie Johnson (Ashley), Jordan Mullis, Terry Miller, Lauren Griffeth (Tim), Chelsea Kitchens (Colby) and Matthew White (Lynzee); and his siblings, Glenn Sawyer, Lyndon Sawyer (Ann), Madge Dykes (Jack), Pansy Loudermilk (Joey) and Florine Johnson. He is also survived by eleven Great-grandchildren; many beloved nieces and nephews, and a large extended family.
