He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Grier Bruce and Daisy Honea Bruce. He is survived by: his wife Eloise Chester Bruce; his children, Michael Joel Bruce (Shawna), Andrew Grier Bruce (Sheri) and Karen Melissa Chaffin (Randy); his brother Johnny Lee Bruce; and his grandchildren, Michael Bruce, Lindley Bruce, Grier Bruce, Savannah Daniels and Mary Emmaline Pouncey. He is also survived by one great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in W.J.'s name to The Oaks at Towne Lake assisted living home or to the Alzheimer's Research Foundation.
