He was predeceased by: his former wife Ann Scogin; his parents, Thomas Elwood Scogin Sr. and Sara Pauline Scogin; and his brothers, Thomas Elwood Jr. and Richard.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Sue Hamilton; his daughters, Lora Wissman, Marci McDougald (Danny) and Natalie Scogin; his grandchildren, Jayde, Hailey, Tara and Payton; and his great grandchildren, Caleb, Abel, Winter and Sailem.
