He was predeceased by: his parents, Gruver Nelson Howze and Thelma Odum Howze Strable; and his brother Roy Howze. He is survived by: his wife Janice King Howze; his children, Paula Howze Hall (Scott), Gregg Howze (Cindy) and Bryan Howze (Heather); his grandchildren, Hayley Rahn (Jaime), Ansley Howze, Erin Stavrakas (Ryan), Garrett Howze, Taylor Howze, Hayden Howze, Chase Howze and Luke Howze; his great grandchildren, Hadley and Hudson Rahn; and his sisters, Dona Faye Aguon, Virginia Sumner, Opal Sumner and Jane Whiddon. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Remembrances may be given to American Heart Association or Alzheimer's Association.
