He was predeceased by: his parents, James Porter and Janice Porter; and his sister Debra Porter. He is survived by: his wife Karen Carter Porter; his children, Wesley Porter (Rosie), Leia Wampler (Ethan), Harley Ballard (Dalton) and Hunter Bennett (Shaw); his grandchildren, Braxton Porter and Ira Wampler; and his sisters, Lynn Murray (Carey) and Peggy Page (Tony).
