It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laquita Joy Jones (Climax, Georgia), born in Bainbridge, Georgia, who passed away on January 3, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Carl J. "Bubba" Jones, Jr.; and her siblings, G. W. Shirley, Eunice, Bernice, Beatrice and Lucille.
She is survived by: her children, Carl Jackson "Rusty" Jones, III of Climax, Sandy of Climax and Eddie Josey of Climax; her grandchildren, Christopher, Joel and Joy Anne; and her great grandchildren, Aubri and Emma.
