He was predeceased by: his parents, John L. Perry and Sara Kathryn Kelly Perry; his wife Dorothy S. Perry; his son James Edward Perry; and his siblings, John L. Perry, W. H. Perry, James "Sonny" Perry, Katie Mae McRae and Laurine Beasley.
He is survived by: his former wife Dorothy Stewart; his children, Charles, Marian Perry of Bainbridge and Kaye Perry Hickox of Climax; his grandchildren, Gray Hickox, Zane Griffin, Annie Rose and Dan Hogan; and his great grandchild Perry Lane Griffin.
