He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul E. Salter and Temptie Thompson Salter of Decatur County, Georgia.; his brothers, William and Spencer Salter; and his grandchildren, Sean, Christy and Katie.
He is survived by: his wife Ida Lou Godwin Salter; his children, Kenneth Salter (Charlotte) of Whigham, Garry Salter (Karon) of Cairo, Paul Salter (Phyllis) of Colquitt, Donna Green (Eddie) of Bainbridge and Brenda Miller of Slocomb, Alabama.; and his siblings, Joe Salter of Climax, J. D. Salter of Bainbridge, Edna Brock of Bainbridge and Mildred McNair of Bainbridge.
