She was predeceased by: her parents, Phelix Stockton and Stella Stockton; her husband Paul Nelson; and her siblings, Roberta Baker, Monroe Stockton, Ruth Gibson, Annetta Stockton and Lorita Phillips.
She is survived by: her sister Dorothy Underwood; her nieces and nephews, Tammy Brown, Ann Tollison, Jan Loftis, Darlene Barrett, Butch Gibson and Aaron Underwood; and her close friends, Junior Crane and Flo Caudell. She is also survived by several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM at the Barrett Funeral Home (118 N Brooks St, Cleveland, GA 30528). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Center Grove Baptist Church (630 Westmoreland Rd, Cleveland, GA 30528).
