She was predeceased by: her parents, William Chastain and Sarah Denton Chastain; her former husband Wiley Nix; her son Wayne Chastain; and her siblings, Sylvester, Barnett, Garnett, Arthur, Oscar, Alonzo, Esco, Lawrence, Willard Chastain, Julie Trusty, Mamie Goss and Beulah Abernathy.
She is survived by: her husband Richard Evans; her children, Dennis Evans of Marietta Ga, Richard (Rusty), Stephenie Evans of Roswell, Elizabeth and Thomas Horton of Gainesville; and her grandchildren, Robert Evans, Adeline and Amelia Horton.
