He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Kapise and Hazel Higgins Kapise; his wife Mary Alice Franklin Kapise; his sons, Danny Kapise and Barry Kapise; and his brother Peter Kapise.
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Kapise Tomlin and Thomas John Kapise, Jr.; his stepdaughter Tammy Kapise Thomas; his granddaughters, Lexi Tomlin and Aly Tomlin; and his siblings, Richard Kapise (Barbara), Robert Kapise (Eleanor), Carol Marcou and Shelia Clark. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
