He was predeceased by: his father Ralph Runkle; his father-in-law Roger Lee Berryman; his grandparents, Talford, Irene Runkle, John and Mary Snell Sr.; his uncle Jack; and his aunt Lila Runkle.
He is survived by: his mother Christine Snell Runkle (Cleveland); his wife Julia Berryman Runkle; his children, Megan Runkle (Cleveland), Matthew Runkle (Caroline), Kevin Runkle and Derrick Runkle (Lindsey) of Cleveland; his grandson Mason Lee Runkle; his brother David Todd Runkle of Whittier, NC; his mother-in-law Mary Berryman; and his siblings-in-law, Amy, Ro Kinson, Doug, Andrea Berryman, Nancy and Dan Truhan.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Barrett Funeral Home (118 N Brooks St, Cleveland, GA 30528). A memorial service was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Clarkesville First Methodist Church (1087 Washington St, Clarkesville, GA 30523).
