He is survived by: his daughter Kelli Nix Miley; his grandson Elijah Nix; his pet Dixie of Cleveland, GA; his sister Dianne La Pointe of Michigan; his niece Heather Hayes; his nephew Hunter La Pointe; and his cousins, James Tenniswood, Dave Tenniswood, Patricia Szewczyk and Roy Smith.
