She was predeceased by: her father John L. Nix. She is survived by: her children, Chris Edwards of Cleveland and Fran Barcenas; her son-in-law Salvador Barcenas of Gainesville; her mother Sarah Highsmith Nix of Gainesville; her grandchildren, Payton Edwards, Christian Edwards, Brycen Garrett and Hudson Garrett; and her sisters-in-law, Ken Nix, Cathy Nix and Betty Nix. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
