He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry and Etta Harkins Sears; his daughter Lisa Wilson; and his siblings, Grady Sears, John A. Sears, Roy Sears, Euell Sears, Barbara Ann Thomas, Ruby Bryant, Eunice, Loy Sutton, Bernice and Ray Dean Gooch.
He is survived by: his wife Laura Sears; his children, Audrey Sears, Michelle Chandler, Tracy Thomas (Eric), Rita Tolbert and Jerry Lowe; his sister Grace Davenport (Jimmy); and his brother-in-law Dennis Bryant. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
