He was predeceased by: his father Claude Adams; his children, Phillip Adams, Angie Ellington and Sandra Annette Whistler; and his brother Larry Adams.
He is survived by: his wife Sharlotte Adams; his daughters, Patsy Adamson and Dawn; his son-in-law Charlie Perry; his sons, Greg Adams and Jonathan; his daughter-in-law Meredith Adams; and his sisters, Jean Harkins and Barbara Nalley. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
