He was predeceased by: his parents, William Nelms, Sr. and Evy Mae Benfield; and his brother Junior Nelms. He is survived by: his wife Eunata Nelms; his daughter-in-law Shannon; his grandchildren, Dylan Burrell and Devyn Burrell; his siblings, Duel Nelms and Opal Chastain; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Nelms. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
