She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Atkinson and Gladys Hamilton Atkinson; her husband John Haswell Brien; and her son Richard Russell Brien. She is survived by: her daughter Laura Byrd; and her brother Robert Brien (Georgia). She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
