He was predeceased by: his parents, Asa Dorsey and Annie Kate Palmer Dorsey; his son Wesley Dorsey; and his siblings, Leethel Dorsey, Thandal Dorsey and Desma Love.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Dorsey; his daughter Katrece Carter; his grandson Brett Carter; his siblings, Phillip (Cheryl Dorsey), Marietta, Sharrell (Sherrill Dorsey), Trilla (L. C. Pruitt), Cleveland, Fonda (Allen Riley) and Miriam Vandiver; and his siblings-in-law, Cupie Dorsey of Columbia, SC and Frank Bachelder of Athens, GA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
