He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Lamar and Bessie Lou Pilgrim Gerrells; his brother Ray Gerrells; and his brother-in-law Erwin Ash. He is survived by: his siblings, Richard Gerrells of Cleveland, Dan Gerrells of Cornelia, Ed Gerrells of Tennessee, Lillie Ash of Mt. Airy, Molly (Jerry Johnson) and Sara (Scott Payne). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
The family requests that those in attendance wear a mask and adhere to the public health and social distancing guidelines regarding COVID-19.
