He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Boggs and Zorrie Boggs; his wife Geneva Boggs; and his siblings, Wade, Lake, Willie Mae, Jessie and Bet.

He is survived by: his daughters, Doris Phillips (Wayne) of Toccoa, Charlotte Shortnacy (Bobby) of Clermont and Joan Sullens of Clermont; his granddaughters, Juliann Pulliam and Amanda McCurry; his great grandchildren, Levi Datho, Troy Dyer, Hope, Austin, Hannah, Kristen, Jeremiah, Brianna, Isabelle and Brandon; and his great great grandchildren, Joshua and Samuel Smith.
