He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kearns and Ruth Cecelia Mckee Kearns; his wife Dorothy Jean Mitchell Kearns; his son Tony Kearns; and his siblings, John Robert Kearns, Richard James Kearns, Dorothy C. Kearns Servia and Mary Jane Kearns Reynolds.
He is survived by: his sons, Mark Kearns (Paula) of Bogart, Lee Kearns (Helen) of Hoschton, Rusty Kearns (Pam) of Eatonton, David Kearns (Debbie) of Monticello and Mitch Kearns (Deanna) of Covington, Georgia; his daughter-in-law Paula Kearns of Stone Mountain, Georgia; and his brother Bernard William Kearns of Covington. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
