He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman William Pettys and Jenny Lind Mather Pettys; and his brother Richard Roy Pettys, Sr. (Dick). He is survived by: his son Norman William Pettys, III; his sister Barbara Macon; his cousins, Larrilee Mather Smith and Susie Mather Butler; his sister-in-law Stephanie Pettys; his nieces and nephews, Ric, Beaux, Chip, Laurie, Lynn, Jan and Jenny; and his friend Claudette Ransom Christensen.
