With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joanne Chappell of Clayton, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 18, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Hembree and Rheda Hembree. She is survived by: her husband Gene Chappell; her daughter Becky Lovell (Jeffrey) of Tiger, GA; her great grandchild Chase Hembree; her sisters, Katie Moore of Long Creek, SC, Melinda Matheson of Long Creek, SC and Carlene Sheffield of Clarkesville, GA; and her granddaughter Tasha Hembree. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
