With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joann Ruane (Clayton, Georgia), born in Manhattan, New York, who passed away on May 2, 2023 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Policastro and Hedwig Policastro (Pevec). She is survived by: her husband Robert Joseph Ruane; her brother Frank Policastro, Sr.; her niece Donna Policastro Sandt (Rob) of New Jersey; her nephews, Frank Policastro, Jr. of New Jersey and James Policastro (Lisa) of New Jersey; her great-nieces, Allison, Carolyn, Madeleine, Lilè and Nola; and her friend Sharon Kubat.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the Rabun County Paws4Life animal shelter.
