Ervin Chastain Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ervin Chastain of Clayton, Georgia, who passed away on April 14, 2025, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ervin Chastain to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack Chastain and Rosie Posey Chastain; his wife Annie Edmonds Chastain; and his siblings, Bill, Leroy, Lonnie, Mark, Carl, Wayman, Leonard, Burley Chastain, Mary Queen and Christine Chastain.
He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Ethel "Charlie" Gragg (Jerry) and Laura Chastain; his grandsons, Danny Gragg (Paula) and Cohen Boyter; his great grandchildren, Kendra Henderson (Brent Lee), Ashleigh Wilson (Tyler) and Whitney Gragg; his great great grandchildren, Mason Henderson, Austin Henderson, Quinton Wilson and Raelyn Wilson; and his sister-in-law Marie Edmonds (Jesse Edmonds). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Eastside Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home (451 Warwoman Rd, Clayton, GA 30525). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Battle Branch Baptist Church (1769 Warwoman Rd, Clayton, GA 30525).
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Sid Weber Memorial Cancer Fund, PO Box 485, Rabun Gap, GA 30568, in c/o Ervin Chastain.
