She was predeceased by: her parents, Marcus Sylvester York and Laura Bell Brooks; her husband George Carpenter; her sons, Charles Love, Ricky Love and Dwight Love; and her brother Colin York.
She is survived by: her daughter Patricia Carpenter (Troy LeBlanc); her brother Calvin (Winnie Sue York); and her grandchildren, Kaleb Love, Marcey Glass, Josh Fricks (Amber), Ashley Blalock (Jamie), Laken Chaney and Renay Berger. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
