He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Cantrell and Claudine Cantrell. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his grandchildren, Stephen, Karla Jacobs, Abby, Daniel, Kyle, Betsy Cantrell and Jane; his siblings, Buford (Jeanie Kinsey), Roger (Loretta Slaton), Jack (Carol Westmoreland), Eva Cantrell, Wilma Dorsey and Ron (Helen Cantrell); and his sisters-in-law, Fran Gillespie and Betty Cochran.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Rabun Christian Food Ministry, P.O. Box 1955, Clayton, GA 30525 or The Place of Hope, Clayton Baptist Church, 87 S. Church St., Clayton, GA 30525.
