She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter E. Mason and Janet Grim Mason of Virginia; and her husband Michael Smith Sr.. She is survived by: her siblings, Charles Mason of Fairbanks, Alaska, Sandra Kazi of Richmond, Mary Banks of Blacksburg and Jan Hill of Lexington, Virginia; her grandchildren, Luke Youngblood (Sig), Ethan Youngblood (Crystal), Sarah Youngblood and Ellen Smith; and her great grandchildren, Emsley Youngblood, Everly Youngblood, Rex Youngblood, Karson Youngblood and Aurora Youngblood.
