He was predeceased by: his father Vernon Jerome Tanner; his brothers, Dale Tanner and Brett Tanner; and his sister-in-law Terrie Tanner. He is survived by: his mother Dorothy "Dottie" Tanner; his wife Jana Sharpe Tanner; his sons, Joseph Tanner and Jason Tanner (Heather); his mother-in-law Joanne D. Sharpe; his siblings-in-law, Connie Tanner, Jhonda Sparks (Floyd) and John Sharpe (Letha); and his grandchildren, Brice, Evan and Addilyn Tanner. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
