He is survived by: his children, Ryan Burkhalter (Amanda) of Statesboro and Heather Gomez of Statesboro; his siblings, Joe Burkhalter (Brenda) of Cobbtown and Cay Quattlebaum (John Farmer) of Milledgeville; his grandchildren, Bailey Burkhalter, Logan and Mahaela Gomez; and his close friends, Becky Burkhalter and Marga Cowart. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
