She was predeceased by: her husband James Cowart (Snooks); her parents, Willie White and Liza Keel White; her grandson Matt Massey; and her brothers, Carlton, Golden and Oliver White.
She is survived by: her children, Tommy Cowart (Bonnie) of Claxton and Sharon C. Massey of Claxton; her grandchildren, Miley, Chris, Bobby Cowart, Mandy and Michael Massey; and her sister Willa Jean Hart. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
