She was predeceased by: her husband Glenn Edward Colson; her parents, Rufus Easterling and Bessie Dees Easterling; her son Ricky Colson; and her sisters, Maybelle Griffin, Ruth Mitchell, Nana Barnard, Louise Bradley and Evelyn Turner.
She is survived by: her children, Wendell Colson (Lynette) of Ludowici and Vicki Colson of Claxton; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Mitchell (Kerry), Brittany Colson, Tiffany Asher (Jeremy), Jacob Jarriel, Ethan Colson (Allee) and Dylan Colson (Mallory); and her great grandchildren, Landon Ivy, Victoria, Eli Napper, Avery Kate Colson, Blakely Colson, Ruth Anne, Hannah and Silas Mitchell. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home (513 W Main St, Claxton, GA 30417). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at the Canoochee Primitive Baptist Church (5073 Rufus Sapp Rd, Claxton, GA 30417).
