She was predeceased by: her parents, John Francis and Rennie Easterling; her husband Emory Smith; and her siblings, Franklin Easterling and Lucille Odum.
She is survived by: her children, Emory Powers Smith, III (Lynn) and Michelle Tootle (Mike); her grandchildren, Leslie Tucker (Matt), Lauren Bluestein (Eric), Nathan Smith (Lindsay) and Rachel Ussery (Ryan); her great grandchildren, Maclain, Mathyn Tucker, Maggy Bluestein, Diana, Anne, Blaire Ussery and Palmer Smith; her close friend Sherry Almond; and her caregivers, Citalli Rodriguez, Maci Neagley, Linda White, Karen Strickland and Denise Blalock. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews, and several life-long neighbors and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Claxton First Church (401 W Main St, Claxton, GA 30417). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
