It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leroy Jones (Claxton, Georgia), who passed away on December 7, 2020, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Jones, Sr. and Annie Mae Mikell Jones; his son Kenneth Terrance Jones; and his siblings, Catherine Perry, Emma Lee Elliott, George Jones, Walter Jones, Johnny Jones, William Jones, Cecil Jones, Arthur Jones and Harley Felton Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Jones; his children, Eric Heck (Mary) of Los Angeles, CA and Major Shyra Cullins (Carl) of Houston, TX; his stepchildren, Twila Smith (Anthony Sr.) of Navarre, FL and Nekemia O. Guinn (Known) of Chester, VA.; his grandchildren, Malia, Demetris, Kaylia, Anthony Jr., Carl Jr. and Jasmine; his siblings, Harold Jones, Jr. (Mable) of Claxton, GA, Herman Mikell of Claxton, GA and Betty Bryant; his nieces, Patricia Sapp (Robert) and Annette M. Sneed; and his nephew Arnold E. Jones. He is also survived by sister; and many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins.
