With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Franklin Benton (Claxton, Georgia), who passed away on June 5, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothea Lott Benton; his children, Frank Benton (Charlotte) of Claxton and Debby Wilson (Scott) of Greensboro, NC; and his grandchildren, Jack Benton (Anne-Marie), Matthew Benton, Andrew Benton, Claren Mulhall (Eric), Connor Wilson (Sarah), Rhiannon Cason (Ronnie) and Danielle Rowan (Michael). He is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
