He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Tucker and Lillie Tucker; his wife Mamie W. Tucker; his daughter Faye Strickland; his grandson Seth Thomas Haire; and his great grandchild Sarah Elizabeth Strickland.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sharon Haire (Tommy) of Claxton and Bonnie Forehand (Jim) of Stilson; his son-in-law Bobby Strickland of Claxton; his siblings, Johnny Tucker (Betty) of Bloomingdale and Lucille Todd of Claxton; his sister-in-law Mamie Lou Tucker of Claxton; and his nephew Carlton Todd of Claxton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
