She was predeceased by: her grandparents, John Lanier, Dahlia Lanier Mosley and W. C. Mosley; her uncle Danny Lanier; and her grandparents, Virgil and Lorene Benton.
She is survived by: her son Justin Daniel of Claxton; her parents, Joan Hendrix of Claxton and William Benton (Yvonne) of Richmond Hill; and her brothers, John Benton (Marie) of Claxton and Ross Benton (Catherine) of Lovettsville. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
