She was predeceased by: her parents, Dillard Lee and Doris Herring Whitman; her husband Charles W. Waldo; her children, Alana Joy Daughtry and William Ashley Waldo; and her brother Gary Walter Whitman.

She is survived by: her children, Dana Norris (John) of Claxton and Clay Waldo (Shelly) of Reidsville; her brother Sonny Whitman of Prosperity, SC; her grandchildren, Jordan Baker, Taylor Hamner (Brandon), Chandler Waldo (Lindsay), Christian Waldo and Anthony Waldo; and her great grandchildren, Ella Grace Waldo, Kaleb Waldo and Mia Hamner. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
