She was predeceased by: her parents, Odelia Miller and Ruben Miller. She is survived by: her husband Foster Edward Joiner, Jr. of Albany; her sons, Foster Edward Joiner, III of Clarkston, Stephen Merrel Joiner and Steve (Margaret) of Atlanta; her grandchildren, Dallis (Martha Stewart) of Savannah, Everett of Warner Robins and Thomas of Atlanta; and her sister Dorothy Miller Shamanski of Fayetteville.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hearing Loss Association of America or Eastside Baptist Church (Marietta Ga.).
