She was predeceased by: her parent Otto Kilby; her husband Wayne Smith; and her sisters, Ailene Wilson and Mary Ellen Williams. She is survived by: her parent Marietta Head Kilby Holcomb; her son-in-law Sharon S.; her son Thomas Smith of Clarkesville; her daughter-in-law Kathryn Smith of Clarkesville; her grandsons, Erik Smith, Shane Smith, Payton Taylor (Krista) and Patrick Taylor; her sibling Charles "Carlos" of Lula; and also, Ricky Taylor of Mt, Airy and Sherrie Kilby of Lula. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Smith suffered from Alzheimers Disease for the last seven years.
